No load shedding in the country, claims PEPCO


LAHORE: There is no load shedding in the country due to balance in electricity demand and production and this will likely continue in coming days, said PEPCO sources.

According to Director General Energy Management PEPCO, Muhammad Khalid, electricity city production is 11,500 Megawatt which is equivalent to demand. Therefore, there is no load shedding in any part of the country. He said Karachi is getting 600 to 650 Megawatt daily basis. The closure of CNG stations also played a role in reduction of the demand.
